SUBPLANS 8-28

SUBSTITUTE INSTRUCTIONS: THURSDAY August 28th 2008

PERIOD 1: Math Phase 17 and 18
1st hand out warm up sheet (attached)
2nd after they finish pass out Phase Folders
3rd Tell them to find where they left off and continue working
4th Let them work on their math independently
5th Collect Phase folders at end of period


PERIOD 2: Math Phase 18+
1st Hand out Warm up sheet (attached)
2nd Tell them to work on Chapter 9-7 problems 15-39 odd
3rd Pass out phase folders if they ask for them
4th give them time to work
5th collect folders


PERIOD 3: Junior High Science
1st Turn on tv in corner
2nd put in the Video “The Rock Cycle” and “Survival” Afterwards
3rd make sure the VHS is selected not the DVD
4th use the tv/video button to select “Video 2”
5th press play (rewind when done)
6th have them write down 3 new things they learned and 1 things they already knew


PERIOD 4: High School Art
1st Warm up sketch is: Draw someone in the class in the contour line style
2nd Tell them to use the period on one of the following.
E.) Contour Drawings or Free Draw
F.) Wire Sculpture
G.) Sketchbook Cover
H.) Paint the plane
3rd Remind them to clean up at the end of the period


PERIOD 5: High School Ecology
1st Turn on tv in corner (let students rearrange desks)
2nd put in the Video “Survival” and then “Living Planet” afterwards
3rd make sure the VHS is selected not the DVD
4th use the tv/video button to select “Video 2”
5th press play (rewind when done)
6th have them write down 3 new things they learned and 1 things they already knew
7th put class back to how it was
REMIND THEM TO STUDY VOCABULARY FOR QUIZ ON MONDAY (next day)
